Making Faces: 1 day workshop. This is a class for anyone who could or would like to have a few pointers on taking the terror out of making a face on a doll. We will cover the basics on placement of features and work first on paper, progress onto a flat face and then finish off with a simple sculpted head with features and inset eyes. We will cover the finer points of drawing with a pencil or pen and then work on shading to add depth. It’s a fun class. The finished heads will be suitable to make into pins or brooches. The student may bring a doll from any one of my patterns and get help on the face.

Kit Fee – $ 12. This includes notebook for drawing, a hand out with instruction for sketching and shading a face, a simple diagram for a basic needle sculpted head and how to insert 3 dimensional eyes and form an eyelid.
